ISLAMABAD: United Auto Industries (Private) Limited has announced that its motorcycle prices will increase throughout Pakistan.

The company announced through its April 3 notification that it had attempted to maintain its current price structure during inflation but was unable to do so because of increased petrol prices and raw material costs.

The company has raised prices for its product line which includes several models with price increases between 3000 rupees and 5000 rupees.

The notification states that 70cc and 100cc motorcycle prices will increase by 3000 rupees while 125cc motorcycle prices will increase by 5000 rupees.

The new prices will take effect from April 11, 2026, and will apply to all new bookings. The company said that production costs have increased and current market conditions require this price adjustment.

Pakistan’s electric bike market sees price increase

Meanwhile, Electric bike prices in Pakistan have increased by up to 5,000 rupees, with rising fuel costs and concerns over supply disruptions due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East being cited as major factors driving the price surge.

According to assemblers, the rise in prices is also a result of increased freight charges, logistics costs, and the growing cost of diesel-powered transportation. The new prices will be implemented starting April 3 for some companies and April 10 for others.

The cost of battery-powered bikes has now ranged between 125,000 rupees and 350,000 rupees, depending on the battery range and motor type.

As per the report received from one assembler, the cost of transportation had increased by 30%, while according to the Goods Transporters Association, the cost of transporting goods had increased by 60% due to rising diesel costs.

There are signs of an increase in electric bike sales as well, as per one assembler’s report, which reported a sale of more than 7,000 bikes in March. Although there are high sales of fuel bikes, the trends will be known by PAMA’s March figures.
