ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday strongly condemned Afghanistan’s unprovoked aggression along multiple border areas, vowing that Pakistan will safeguard its national security and territorial integrity at all costs.

PM Shehbaz lauded the Pakistan Army’s swift and professional response, which reportedly led to the destruction of several Afghan border posts and the capture of 19 key positions.

PM praises military’s decisive action

In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif expressed pride in the armed forces’ professionalism, commending their “strong and fearless response under the leadership of the Field Marshal” to Afghan provocations.
“The Pakistan Army has once again proven that our defense is in capable hands. We know well how to protect our borders and national secrets,” the Prime Minister stated.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan would not tolerate any aggression, warning that “every provocation will be met with a firm and effective response.”
“Our nation stands united with our armed forces. The Pakistan Army has always given a resolute reply to any external threat,” he added.

President reaffirms commitment to sovereignty

President Asif Ali Zardari echoed the Prime Minister’s sentiments, reaffirming that Pakistan remains fully committed to defending its sovereignty and national interests.
“Pakistan will never accept any misleading or controversial stance on Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, reiterating that the country’s position on territorial integrity is unwavering.
