On the occasion of World Radio Day, President Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to all professionals associated with radio and said that radio is an effective means of trust, inclusion and social harmony.
He said that despite the rapid development of modern media in the digital era, the importance of radio still remains and it is playing a key role in providing authentic information to the public.
The President said in his message that Radio Pakistan is serving as the national voice through broadcasting in 26 languages, which is a means of connecting different regions and cultures of the country.
He said that radio is a symbol of public service and reliable information and is a reliable companion of the people in their daily lives.
He emphasized that the interrelationship between radio and artificial intelligence is a harbinger of new paths for the future. Radio institutions can become stronger and more effective through responsible use of new technologies.
President Zardari said that the popularity of radio is increasing even among young listeners, which is a testament to the universal utility of this medium.
He said that radio is not only an effective means of cultural expression but also plays an important role in promoting national dialogue.
