DI KHAN: (Jalal Mehsud) In a joint intelligence-based operation by the district Police and Counter Terrorism Department CTD, a terrorist was killed two others were injured in the Kolachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.
According to the police, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Kalachi and adjoining areas of Dera Ismail Khan, during which action was taken on information about the presence of terrorists.
Police said as soon as the terrorists saw the police, they opened fire, to which the police also returned fire.
As a result of the fierce encounter, one terrorist was killed, and two were injured, while a policeman was slightly injured in the exchange of fire.
The slain terrorist was involved in attacks on police and target killings, including Khati Chek, in recent days. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, grenades and a motorcycle were recovered from his possession.
The police have cordoned off the area and started a search for other injured terrorists.
