PESHAWAR: Police have arrested a female influencer who had announced the opening of a dance club in the central city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to promote vulgarity.
Peshawar Police said that a woman who was inciting people to misbehave on social media has been arrested. The woman involved in spreading obscenity, Sonia Shah, wife of Dadu Shah, was arrested from Gulbahar No. 4, Ijazabad.
According to the police, the accused had claimed to open a dance club in Peshawar in a viral video. The female influencer also used obscene language, which is a violation of social values and the law.
A case has been registered against the arrested influencer and an investigation has been started. Police said that the campaign has been further tightened against those spreading obscenity and misbehaviour.
Police officials have also explained that the TikTok woman was arrested along with the ladies police of Gulbahar police station for using immoral language.
