ISLAMABAD: After months of suspense, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formally initiated the distribution of laptops to students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Scheme. But these laptops are not just the average everyday simple devices; in fact, they are ready to become students’ potent technological tools by supporting learning, creativity, and digital communication with their trendy features.

These laptops feature a 14-inch full HD anti-glare display which can be very useful for long concentration sessions on study, coding, or creative work. Each laptop is, in fact, supplied with AMD Ryzen 5 7430U processor with six cores and eight threads. The processor is very efficient in handling multitasking  whatever combination of tasks is programming, simulations, or design projects.

The students are given 8GB RAM along with one additional slot for the expansion memory, so anyone can simply upgrade their devices to be competent with the upcoming market demands. The 256GB SSD is there to ensure light and quick boot hours and access to a wide range of application, while a new M.2 slot is ready for next generation storage needs.

Moreover, these laptops have a set of integrated graphics which can easily do the HD video playing task, can be used for online design, and very light 3D modeling activities, hence the laptops are also equipped with students in different study fields. Supporting an uninterrupted Internet connection for online classes, the laptop is equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and an RJ-45 Ethernet port.

They use USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, and microSD ports for which there are many thoughts connecting them to monitors, projectors, and other gizmos. Also, the laptop comes with a 720p HD camera with a privacy cover, dual stereo speakers, and a US-standard keyboard, so it is perfect for the online lecture, webinar, and general use.
