PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Management Services (PMS) union and secretariat coordination council have announced a pen-down strike at the provincial secretariat tomorrow in Peshawar on Tuesday, over an alleged altercation between the secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education, Khalid Khan and special assistant to the chief minister, Naik Muhammad, over an alleged posting transfer issue.

The PMS association chairman, Noman Wazir, said in a video statement that they condemned the alleged hostage of secretary E&SE, Khalid Khan, in his office by the special assistant to the chief minister, Naik Muhammad.

He said all the offices at the provincial secretariat would remain closed tomorrow in protest against the incident with Secretary E&SE Khalid Khan. He urged all the officials of the various departments to gather outside the Elementary and Secondary Education offices tomorrow.

Secretary Khalid Khan also submitted a detailed report for lodging an FIR against Minister Naik Muhammad, claiming that he, along with his armed companion, had stormed his office and held him hostage and his office staff and also threatened him.
