Pakistan Meteorological Department(PMD) predicted rain for Today Tuesday, in various parts of the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, northeast Punjab, and northeast Balochistan.

The weather in these areas will remain cloudy with intermittent rain and snowfall in the mountains, along with strong winds and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, heavy rain and moderate to heavy snowfall are also expected at a few places in Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The weather is expected to remain cold and dry in other parts of the country.

Due to snowfall on January 27, traffic flow is expected to be disrupted due to road closures and slippage in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Chitral, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Murree, Galiat, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, Haveli, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Noshki, Harnai, and Zhob.

Landslides and avalanches are possible in the mountainous areas of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Since last night it is raining in Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with northern areas and this wave could continue till Wednesday. The rain will also be followed with snowfall on mountain of Shangla, Swat and Kalam.

Tourists are advised to be cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during this time.
