Pakistan Metrological department has expected torrential rain in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Northern areas with strong wind and thunderstorm for Friday and Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, today, April 3, 2026, most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are experiencing rain with thunder and strong winds. The temperature in the plains including Peshawar was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius in the morning, while the humidity in the air has reached 85 percent. Intermittent rain and snowfall are occurring in the upper areas of Swat, Dir, Chitral, Mansehra and Abbottabad, due to which the intensity of the cold has increased.

The NDMA, while issuing an alert, has said that there is a risk of flooding in local rivers and landslides in mountainous areas due to heavy rains, so tourists and the local population have been directed to be careful.

For Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, light rain is expected during the day with a high of 20°C and a 60% chance of precipitation, followed by partly cloudy skies at night with a low of 13°C and a 10% chance of rain.

The maximum temperature in Peshawar today is likely to be 18 and the minimum 14 degrees Celsius, while the intensity of the rain is predicted to increase further at night. The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued orders to all district administrations and rescue agencies to remain on high alert and be ready to deal with any emergency situation.

Wind and thunderstorms are also expected in the southern districts of DI Khan, Bannu and Karak, which is likely to damage standing crops.
