ISLAMABAD: A dinner was organized by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for government and allied party senators that was accompanied by his applauding speech for their support for the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
After meeting the senators, the Prime Minister offered his thanks for their cooperation in the approval of the amendment. He also took the opportunity to appreciate the ardent support of the President Arif Ali Zardari and all the leaders of the allied parties for the initiative that was in favor of the national interest.
At the function, Shehbaz Sharif outlined that the efforts made by the allied parties led the way for a strong federation, good relations among the provinces, and better governance through the amendment process.
He underlined that the landmarks that his government had achieved were the result of the good understanding that existed between the ruling and allied parties. Apart from this, the Prime Minister exemplified as the result of unity and collective effort Pakistan’s major diplomatic achievements and the country’s favorable position at the international level.
Shehbaz Sharif, in respect of the economy, asserted that the country’s economic condition is going to be better step by step and that political and economic stability is the main factors that are paving the way for the nation.
The Prime Minister appealed to the public and also all government circles to join hands and work for Pakistan’s development and prosperity.

Mosharraf Zaidi named PM Shehbaz’s spokesperson for International Media
Earlier on 2 November, Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has appointed Musharraf Ali Zaidi as the new spokesperson for foreign media, as confirmed by a notification from the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday.
This appointment is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, along with the Cabinet Division, has been instructed to proceed accordingly, with the Prime Minister’s Office also cancelling the previous appointments made on June 4 and June 10.
The Prime Minister’s decision to appoint Musharraf Ali Zaidi is aimed at effectively presenting Pakistan’s stance on international matters.
Musharraf Ali Zaidi is recognised for his expertise in policy analysis and advocacy, particularly in education, public policy, and technology. In June 2025, the PML-N government appointed him as the Chief Coordinator for Government Performance and Innovation at the Prime Minister’s Office. This role was intended to ensure high-level coordination in monitoring government performance and implementing new procedures.
