ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting to discuss the current security situation in the region, according to sources. The meeting will include top military leadership and heads of intelligence agencies.
According to sources meeting is called to examine the security dynamics concerning Afghanistan, Iran, and other neighboring countries. There will also be significant discussions regarding Pakistan’s policy in light of the prevailing situation.
In the coming days, Pakistan is expected to establish guidelines outlining its position. The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, will take place at the Prime Minister’s House in the afternoon.
The Prime Minister is expected to arrive in Islamabad shortly.
