Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met the government’s negotiation committee in Islamabad and lauded their efforts after the successful reconciliation process with members of the Awami Action Committee in Azad Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Raja Pervez Ashraf, Advisor to the Prime Minister, Rana Sanaullah, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Ahad Khan Cheema, and Chairman Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of the members of the negotiation committee to resolve the issues in Kashmir amicably. The Joint Action Committee also demonstrated understanding of the development and prosperity of Kashmir, for which they are commendable.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that all issues in Kashmir were resolved amicably and all the concerns of the Kashmiri people will be addressed as soon as possible. The government will continue to take steps to resolve the issues of its Kashmiri brothers. He said that matter of national interest and peace are their foremost priority and they will continue to serve the people of Azad Kashmir.

He has been a protector of the rights of Kashmiri brothers and sisters in the past and will continue to protect their rights in the future. He added that the issues of Azad Kashmir have always been a focus, and my government has always resolved these issues on a priority basis.

The prime minister vowed that they will continue to take steps for the development and prosperity of the Kashmiri people as per their aspirations.
