PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court(PHC) seeks a response from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency(NCCIA) for harassing the Director of Anti-Corruption Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Dr. Khurshid Iqbal heard the petition. The court ordered the parties not to harass Director Anti-Corruption Siddique Anjum and sought a report from the parties within 14 days. The petitioner started an inquiry against a private housing society in Bannu; however, later, he was harassed in different ways by the officers of NCCIA. The judge’s relative, against whom the inquiry was being conducted, has registered a case against him in the FIA, the petitioner’s lawyer said. Justice Syed Arshad Ali said, “This is the Director Anti-Corruption, who is harassing him”?
Yes, “this is the Director of Anti-Corruption KP. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency is harassing him”, the petitioner’s lawyer replied. The complainant has accused him of posting against us on social media, the petitioner’s lawyer. The court sought a response from the officers of NCCIA and asked them to submit a detailed explanation report at the next hearing.
