Peshawar High Court appointed five new judges and handed them over the responsibilities of their respective benches to speed up the dispensation of justice.
According to a notification issued by the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, the judges have been transferred to different benches for their new responsibilities. They are included Justice Dr. Khurshid Iqbal Mingora Bench (Swat), Justice Abdul Fayaz Abbottabad Bench, Justice Sadiq Ali DI Khan Bench, Justice Inamullah Khan Principal Seat (Peshawar), and Justice Thabitullah Khan Bannu Bench.
All these appointments will be effective from February 2, 2026. This measure aims to keep the benches of the High Court established in remote areas of the province functional and reduce the burden of cases.
Recently, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan had approved the permanent appointment of several additional judges of the Peshawar High Court, after which orders for their regular appointments have been issued.
Justice Inamullah Khan will discharge his duties at the Central Court (Principal Seat) in Peshawar, while the other judges will be assigned to various divisional seats of the province.
