PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday issued a written order restraining the federal government from arresting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in connection with any pending or registered cases until November 18, 2025.
The order came during the hearing of Afridi’s protective bail petition at PHC. A bench of the high court directed the provincial Advocate General and the Assistant Attorney General to receive notices and appear at the next hearing.
The court, on the occasion, further directed the petitioner to provide a comprehensive list of all cases registered against CM Afridi, if any, and submit the details before the next hearing date.
The court adjourned the hearing until November 18 and maintained that the CM-KP must not be arrested in the meantime.
However, advocates Alam Khan Adenizi and Bashir Khan Wazir appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner.
