PESHAWAR: Peshawar’s theft incidents have come to an unexpected turn as now the unknown thieves are not only stealing electric wires but also taking the electricity and gas meters from the houses and streets. These surprising crimes have made the people very worried and scared.
According to reports, a theft involving the stealing of electric wires was reported in the jurisdiction of Pahari Pura police station. Additionally, reports suggest that unknown individuals have stolen electricity and gas meters in the Waliabad area of Pishtkhera.
The public thinks that these thefts are not mere common criminals’ acts but rather the involvement of highly skilled or retired staff from the relevant departments due to the sophistication and artfulness that the thieves showed in the thefts.
The public says that the thieves do their jobs like professionals working with extreme precision and cleanliness, thus not leaving any obvious damage behind. It has raised suspicion; many are asking if the utility systems involved have an inside connection or if they have been notified.
