The Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Peshawar has officially announced that the moon of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram has not been sighted, and they fully supporting the decision of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The statement issued after the meeting of the Zonal Committee held in Peshawar said that no Shariah evidence of the moon has been received from any place in the province, so the committee unanimously agrees with the decision of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee that Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Saturday.
It should be noted that the moon of Shawwal-ul-Mukarram 1447 AH was not sighted in Pakistan, after which the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has officially announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated with religious fervor across the country on Saturday, March 21.
The meeting of the central committee held in Islamabad was chaired by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in which reports and technical evidence received from across the country were reviewed.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that no Shariah moon sighting was received from any part of Pakistan, therefore it has been unanimously decided that the 30th fast will be on Friday and Eid will be on Saturday.
