PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar has announced the resumption of on-campus classes from Monday, April 13, according to a notification issued on April 11.

The notification informed students, faculty members and relevant staff that regular classes would now be held four days a week from Monday to Thursday as part of efforts to restore academic activities in an organized manner.

However, Friday and Saturday will remain holidays until further orders. The administration said that if required, heads of departments or principals may arrange online classes on those days to ensure that academic progress and course completion are not affected.

The notification further stated that certain essential departments including the Directorate of Administration, Directorate of Sports and Directorate of Works will continue to perform their duties as usual.

Staff attendance in these departments will be determined by their respective heads in line with institutional requirements to ensure smooth administrative and operational functioning.

The decision has been issued with the approval of the university’s vice chancellor and aims to provide students with a stable academic environment while gradually normalising campus activities.
