PESHAWAR: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has closed Motorway M1 from Peshawar Toll plaza to Rashkai for traffic due to dense fog and low visibility.
M1 motorway from Peshawar Toll plaza to Rashkai has been closed for all kind of traffic due to Dense fog and extremely low visibility.
The motorway police spokesperson stated that the closure of motorways is totally for the purpose of the safety of citizens and to prevent accidents and ensure safety of people.
The spokesperson urged travelers to use the front and back fog lights during travel to abstain from any incident and advised them to prefer traveling in daylight during the foggy season.
The purpose of closing the motorway is to prevent accidents and protect the lives and property of motorway users.
Motorway police also advised to avoid speeding and keep a longer distance from the vehicle in front than usual.
Motorway police also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during early hours.
National Highways and Motorway Police advised the public to keep more distance between the vehicles and always take advisory from helpline 130 before starting the journey to obtain updated traffic and weather information.
