ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorways Police (NHMP) on Thursday said that four major motorways, including M1 Peshawar-Islamabad, have been closed to traffic due to dense fog.
According to the NHMP statement, the visibility on motorways has dropped due to dense fog, and in order to protect lives, the roads have been closed to all types of traffic.
It said all the motorways would be reopened to traffic after the visibility improved. NHMP reported that M1 has been closed from Burhan to Peshawar, while M3 traffic halted from Faizpur to Jaranwala.
Similarly, the NHMP suspended traffic on M35 from Kohliat to Jhari and M2 traffic was closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Heron Minar.
