MALAKAND: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON and President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam has said that a big positive change is being seen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; the people have started differentiating between truth and lies, loyalty and disloyalty.
He expressed these views while addressing a large public gathering on the occasion of the inauguration of the NADRA Centre in Toota Kan, Batkhela, Malakand, on Sunday. Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam inaugurated the NADRA Centre in Toota Kan.
Addressing the public meeting, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that politics comes later, but Pakistan comes first. This grand public gathering in the Tota Kan area of Batkhela on January 4 is clear evidence that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have started differentiating between truth and lies, loyalty and disloyalty.
The enthusiasm of thousands of people coming out is tantamount to putting a public seal on this change. Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam thanked the people for the warm welcome and love and said that he accepts these feelings not only on his own behalf but also on behalf of the Leader of the Muslim League (N), Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the entire party leadership.
He said that we dedicate today’s gathering to the successes achieved by Pakistan in 2025, be it in the defence field, the economic front or the progress made by Pakistan at the diplomatic level.
The Federal Minister, while paying tribute to the courageous leadership of the Pakistan Armed Forces, said that thanks to the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the timely decisions of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan defeated a force many times larger than itself and restored national dignity.
He said that the entire nation should salute and appreciate the Pakistan Armed Forces and the national leadership for these achievements. While congratulating the New Year 2026, he expressed the hope that, by the grace of Allah Almighty, this year will bring more successes for Pakistan.
He said that a big positive change is visible in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially among the youth, who were misled in the past and set against the state and institutions. Engineer Amir Muqam, while severely criticising the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that nothing was given to the people in the fields of education, health, employment and infrastructure during the 13 years.
He raised the question that if Danish schools can be built in Punjab, why not in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa? Is there a lack of capacity and talent among the brave Pakhtun youth here?
He said that instead of roaming the streets of Lahore, the Chief Minister of the province should take practical steps for education, health and farmers in his province.
Amir Muqam, who is also president of PML-N KP, said that medicines are missing in hospitals, universities are full of problems, and provincial resources are being used for negative politics instead of public welfare. He said that the NFC resources received by the province were used to strengthen the anti-national narrative instead of being spent on the people.
Talking about the negotiations, Engineer Amir Muqam clarified that the PML-N has always been in favour of negotiations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has repeatedly shown a big heart, but negotiations are possible only if the opposing party first recognises Pakistan, apologises for the events of May 9 and abandons hateful politics against institutions.
He said that it is not possible to talk to forces that are doing things that even the enemy country could not do without principles. He challenged that if they come out of the government without government resources and come to the people, their real popularity will be assessed.
He said that real meetings are those that the people hold from their own pockets, with their own passion, and not from the government machinery. Engineer Amir Muqam appealed to the people to give the PML-N a chance.
He said that if they get a chance, even for one year, the people will see for themselves how progress is made under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. He expressed his best wishes for Sajjad Khan and other local leaders and said that the people of Malakand need a strong voice in the parliament that can highlight their problems in a real sense.
In the public meeting, Ayaz Khan, Afreen Machkani, Ehsanullah Khan, Sultan Rum Bacha, Bakht Mola, Anwar Hayat Khan, Gul Rehman, who resigned from various political parties including PTI, along with their families and colleagues, joined the Muslim League trusting in the position of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Central President Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Provincial President PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Amir.
