LAHORE: The schedule for Pakistan’s visit to Sri Lanka has been officially announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Moreover, the series will not only be a wonderful occasion for the players’ practice but also the main event prior to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

The Pakistani cricket players are going to fly to Sri Lanka in January 2026. The team will participate in a T20I series consisting of three matches there. The three matches will take place in the legendary Dambulla Stadium only which is famous not only for its beautiful setting but also for its hard ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌soil.

The timetable for the fixtures is arranged as follows:

1st T20I: January 7

2nd T20I: January 9

3rd T20I: January 11

As per the authorities, the series is a matter of great concern while Pakistan is gearing up for the T20 World Cup that will be held from February 7 to March 8, 2026.

It has been decided that Pakistan will take on its World Cup opponents in Colombo. Therefore, the Sri Lanka tour turns out to be a highly essential players’ acclimatization to the local conditions before the grand event.

PCB sets bidding fee for two new PSL teams

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has progressed with its intention to introduce two teams into the Pakistan Super League (PSL), establishing an official bidding price for prospective investors.

Sources reveal that PCB has set a $200,000 deposit along with a $20,000 non-refundable charge for those interested in placing bids for the new franchises. Authorities state that the bidding fee is intended to guarantee that committed purchasers participate in the process.

Sources disclosed that certain unserious firms had earlier thought about submitting documents for promotional reasons. Thus, PCB plans to examine all paperwork prior to moving forward with negotiations.

It​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ is evident that the PSL is becoming a more attractive business venture as a league, after several potential buyers have lined up to show their interest in purchasing the two new PSL franchises. The deadline for submitting the bids is December ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌15.
