Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) generates a handsome revenue of 3.6 billion rupees with the entry of two new teams, Hyderabad and Sialkot, to the Pakistan Super League (PSL), taking the number of teams in the PSL to 8.
The auction process for the two new teams in the PSL has been completed. The auction process was held at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, where there is fierce competition between different parties.
The two parties that won the auction were allowed to choose the names of their respective teams from Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Sialkot.
A bid of Rs 175 crore was received for the seventh team of the PSL during the auction. FKS Group secured the bid of the seventh team of the PSL for Rs 175 crore and chose Hyderabad for the team.
The eighth team of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was bought by OZ Developers for Rs 185 crore, and the name of Sialkot was chosen.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi gave a prize money of Rs 90 million to the team that won the Rising Star Asia Cup. On this occasion, the winning team of the Hong Kong Sixes was also given a prize of Rs 18.5 million.
