ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi has announced plans to transform the Pakistan Super League (PSL) into one of the world’s top T20 leagues.
During a landmark PSL roadshow held at Lords Cricket Ground Naqvi announced that a cutting-edge cricket stadium featuring amenities will be constructed in Islamabad with a comparable stadium also proposed for Muzaffarabad according to a statement released here.
Naqvi mentioned that the PSL is set to become a company with an Initial Public Offering (IPO) planned in the near future. To build enthusiasm among cricket supporters concerts will take place at every venue from December leading up, to the commencement of PSL 11.
The PCB has introduced its OTT service called “PCB Live”. Has put out a fresh tender for global media rights. The rewards, for PSL 11 have been raised, with the champion team awarded $500,000 the second-place team receiving $300,000 and the top cricket development franchise granted $200,000.
Naqvi highlighted that the PSL is developing into an international brand concentrating on broadening its worldwide broadcast coverage.

PCB reveals schedule for T20 series in Sri Lanka
The schedule for Pakistan’s visit to Sri Lanka has been officially announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Moreover, the series will not only be a wonderful occasion for the players’ practice but also the main event prior to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
The Pakistani cricket players are going to fly to Sri Lanka in January 2026. The team will participate in a T20I series consisting of three matches there. The three matches will take place in the legendary Dambulla Stadium only which is famous not only for its beautiful setting but also for its hard soil.
The timetable for the fixtures is arranged as follows:
1st T20I: January 7
2nd T20I: January 9
3rd T20I: January 11
As per the authorities, the series is a matter of great concern while Pakistan is gearing up for the T20 World Cup that will be held from February 7 to March 8, 2026.
It has been decided that Pakistan will take on its World Cup opponents in Colombo. Therefore, the Sri Lanka tour turns out to be a highly essential players’ acclimatization to the local conditions before the grand event.
