LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that PSL 11 will begin on schedule from March 26, but spectators will not be allowed to attend the matches.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi said consultations regarding the league’s conduct had been ongoing, and it was decided that the event would proceed as planned.
PSL is an international brand with foreign players involved, so postponing the event was not feasible as no future window was available, he said.
The PCB chairman added that matches will be held only in Karachi and Lahore, and a revised schedule will be shared to minimize team movement.
He also confirmed that the opening ceremony has been cancelled to reduce costs, with the PCB covering gate revenue payments to the franchises.
Addressing fans, Naqvi said that given the current situation, matches will be held without spectators, and ticket holders will be refunded. We apologise to our fans for the inconvenience, he added.
