MUMBAI: Captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL, Pat Cummins, has left for Australia to undergo his final back scan. Cummins, who had already joined the team despite his fitness problems before IPL season, had continued his fitness routine in conjunction with the tournament.

As per news sources, the scan had been previously scheduled to be conducted by Cricket Australia. If Pat Cummins passes his tests with flying colours, then he will return to the side on April 17.

However, in the meantime, with Pat Cummins out of contention due to an injury, Ishan Kishan will lead the side.

Ever since July last year, Pat Cummins has suffered back pain, playing only one match throughout the entire series against England. Though Pat Cummins had thought of participating in the T20 World Cup, as he was not up to his usual self, he was not declared fit for the same.
