PESHAWAR: Various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) received a fresh spell of snowfall and rain, bringing much-needed relief after a prolonged period of heat.
According to local reports, snowfall was observed in the mountainous areas of Jehaz Banda in Upper Dir, as well as in Shangla, Swat, Chitral, and Naran Mansehra, contributing to a significant drop in temperature.
Rainfall also affected several areas within the Malakand division, including Swat, Shangla, Buner, Chitral, Bajaur, Dir Lower, Dir Upper, and Malakand. Additionally, the Hazara division saw rain in the districts of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, and Kohistan.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather advisory for the federal capital, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh, and Gilgit-Baltistan, warning of possible adverse weather conditions over the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to NDMA officials, intermittent rainfall is expected during this period, with light to heavy showers likely in the upper catchments of the Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers.
Rain is also forecast in several key districts, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Sargodha, and Khushab in Punjab; and Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, and Buner in KP.
