Regional tensions in the Middle East have caused a major disruption to Pakistan’s fintech sector as SadaPay announced on Tuesday that its application has gone offline for all users. The company termed the outage to infrastructure damage in the Gulf following recent drone strikes.
In a statement shared on social media, SadaPay explained that its operations rely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosted in Bahrain. The infrastructure has faced ongoing disruptions since a drone strike on March 1, with conditions in the region reportedly worsening overnight and leading to a total service failure.

SadaPay, a private limited company providing digital wallets and Mastercard debit services across Pakistan, noted that several other financial institutions across the Gulf are facing similar challenges due to physical damage to shared cloud systems. The company asserted that while the issue is not unique to its platform, it is treating the restoration of services as a matter of high urgency for its users.
