The message by the Prime Minister of Pakistan asked the President of the US to extend the peace negotiations deadline by two weeks, while at the same time requesting Iran to leave Strait of Hormuz open as a goodwill gesture.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump praised Prime Minister Sharif’s role in the peace process, describing him as “very respectable” and adding that he would brief relevant authorities on the suggestions made by Pakistan. Iranian officials have also acknowledged the proposal and indicated that they are considering it, with a response expected soon.
