LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday unveiled the nominees for October player of the month, and Pakistani cricketer Noman Ali is among the shortlisted players.

The International Cricket Council on Thursday released the list of players shortlisted for the October player of the month. It issued a list for both women’s and men’s cricket players. The list shows Pakistan’s cricket team player, Noman Ali, among the nominees for the player of the month.

The list also included South Africa’s Senor Muthusamy and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, also named as the nominees for the month’s player of the month.

It said Noman Ali Ali took 14 wickets in the Test series against South Africa.

Noman Ali continued his impressive performance in red-ball cricket with another outstanding series for Pakistan.

As the No. 3-ranked ICC Men’s Test Bowler, he demonstrated his skill by taking 14 wickets at an impressive average of 23.07 in the two-Test series against South Africa.

In the first Test held in Lahore, he achieved his third 10-wicket haul in Test cricket, posting figures of 6/112 in the first innings and 4/79 in the second. His remarkable performance helped Pakistan secure a 93-run victory in the first Test.

In the second Test in Rawalpindi, Noman remained consistent, capturing a total of four wickets and contributing 17 runs with the bat. His efforts made him the highest wicket-taker of the series.

The ICC also announced the nominees for women players, Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa, Smriti Mandhana of India and Ash Gardner of Australia, shortlisted for the player of October.
