Pakistan carried out intelligence-based airstrikes targeting alleged militant hideouts linked to Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in three Afghan provinces, according to security sources.

Officials said the strikes were conducted in Nangarhar, Paktika and Khost, claiming that seven centres were destroyed during the operation. Authorities stated that more than 80 militants were confirmed killed, while additional casualties are expected as assessments continue.

The centres reportedly targeted include New Centre No. 1 and New Centre No. 2 in Nangarhar; External Maulvi Abbas Centre in Khost; External Islam Centre and External Ibrahim Centre in Nangarhar; and External Mullah Rahbar and External Mukhlis Yar Centres in Paktika.

Security officials described the action as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle cross-border militant infrastructure allegedly involved in attacks inside Pakistan. Further details are awaited.
