Pakistanis citizens and former cricketers strongly creticise the poor performance of the national team in the recent match between Pakistan and India.
In this important match played in Colombo, India defeated Pakistan by a huge margin of 61 runs, after which questions are being raised about the team’s selection and the performance of the players.
Muhammad Yousuf expressed great disappointment and said that now the time of Shaheen Afridi, Babar Azam and Shadab Khan is over and the team needs new talent.
Ahmed Shehzad called it a “sad story of Pakistan cricket” and said that the same old faces and the same old results are coming out again and again.
Former PCB chairman termed the batting line-up’s failure a “disaster” and said that India has been playing with the same bowling attack for many years, but our batsmen still have no solution.
India scored 175 runs while batting first. Ishan Kishan played an aggressive innings of 77 runs off 40 balls.Pakistan’s team was bundled out for just 114 runs in pursuit of the target and the entire team could not complete even 18 overs.
After this defeat, the path to the semi-finals (Super 8) has become difficult for Pakistan and now it has to win its next match against Namibia at all costs.
A large number of fans on social media protested the team’s body language and lack of “aggressiveness”. Many fans say that the team has been limited to winning only against small teams.
