ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan volleyball team maintained its winning streak by defeating Saudi Arabia in the Top 8 Classification Round of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, being held in Bahrain.
According to a press release, Pakistan secured a 3-1 victory with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 23-25, and 26-24, showcasing strong teamwork and determination throughout the match.
The game was closely contested, but Pakistan’s consistent attacking play and solid defense proved decisive. Standout performers included Libero Khizar Hayat, Muhammad Yahya, and Muhammad Anas, who displayed exceptional skill and composure to keep Pakistan in control during crucial moments.
With this victory, Pakistan has advanced to the quarterfinals and now tops Pool E. The team will face the fourth-ranked side from Pool F on October 26 at 1:30 PM (Pakistan time).
Chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, congratulated the players and coaching staff, praising their discipline and resilience. “The team has shown great consistency and fighting spirit. We are confident they will continue to make the nation proud in the quarterfinals,” he said.
The team is managed by Naseer Ahmed and coached by Head Coach Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady, who have played a vital role in mentoring and motivating the players throughout the tournament.
