Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in the second match of the ongoing U-19 tri-nation series in Zimbabwe. The thrilling match was decided in the last over.
After winning the toss in Harare, Pakistan chose to field first. Afghanistan’s Under-19 team batted and was bowled out for 226 runs in 50 overs. Osman Sadat top-scored with 75 runs, while Mahboob Khan contributed 49 runs, and Faisal Shinozada added 31 runs.
For Pakistan, Usman Khan was the standout bowler, claiming four wickets, while Mohammad Sayyam and Daniyal Ali Khan each took two wickets.
In their chase, Pakistan’s Under-19 team reached 230 runs for 9 wickets in 49.3 overs. Farhan Yousaf played a crucial innings, scoring 65 runs, while Hamza Zahoor remained unbeaten with 68 runs to guide Pakistan to victory.
Ahmed Hussain contributed 31 runs, and Usman Khan chipped in with 20 runs. For Afghanistan, Salam Khan took 4 wickets, and Zaitullah Shaheen picked up 2 key wickets.
