Pakistan’s Minister of Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Mali,k to represent Pakistan at the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) 2026, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources from the 13th – 15th of January.
The Pakistan delegation, led by Minister Malik, includes key policymakers, heads of state-owned entities, private sector players and industry leaders from the country’s mining sector.
Leadership from prominent companies such as Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Mari Energies, Government Holdings (Private) Limited, Frontier Works Organization, Pakistan Minerals (Private) Limited, Saindak Metals Limited, Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation, Balochistan Mineral Resource Limited, Bolan Mining Enterprises, Globacore Minerals Limited and Balochistan Mineral Exploration Company along with service providers such as Biafo Industries Limited will be part of the Pakistan delegation at the FMF.
The FMF is a prestigious annual event held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and, in its fifth year, has established itself as a leading global platform for shaping the future of mining. Branding Pakistan as a ‘Mineral Marvel’ whose potential is ready to be unleashed to accelerate Pakistan’s Mineral Revolution, the Pakistan Pavilion will showcase the country’s geology, mining projects and players in the sector, along with sharing promising opportunities for investors through its exhibits and stalls. Participants shall also have an opportunity to view the National Minerals Data Centre, a comprehensive digital portal that modernises mineral governance and serves as a consolidated platform to share all mineral sector information on a single, reliable and accessible source.
The Minister of Petroleum shall participate in the Ministerial Roundtable, contributing to high-level dialogue on the resurgence of mining and how Pakistan features in this global mining renaissance.
The Pakistan delegation has a dedicated 90-minute session at the FMF on the 14th of January. This session shall constitute of the unveiling of a film showcasing what the country has to offer the global mining world, as well as a detailed presentation by the Minister after which there will be a Panel Discussion comprising of panelists such as the Minister of Petroleum for Pakistan, representatives from international companies such as Barrick Mining Corporation and the Metallurgical Corporation of China operating in the Pakistan mining arena along with leaders from Pakistan’s state-owned and private sector companies engaged in mining.
The Minister of Petroleum has also been invited to participate in a ministerial panel to discuss the role of governments in driving mineral supply.
