Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by a substantial margin of 128 runs under the DLS method in the second ODI, levelling the three-match series 1-1.
Bangladesh won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. The entire Pakistani team was bowled out for 274 runs in 47.3 overs.
Maaz Sadaqat was the standout performer for Pakistan, playing an aggressive innings of 75 runs off just 46 balls, including 5 sixes and 6 fours. Salman Ali Agha contributed 64 runs before being run out, while Mohammad Rizwan and Sahibzada Farhan added 44 and 31 runs, respectively. For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed three wickets each.
Following a rain interruption, Bangladesh was set a revised target of 243 runs in 32 overs under the DLS method. In pursuit of the target, the host team collapsed against the Pakistani bowling attack, and the entire side was bundled out for 114 runs in 23.3 overs. Litton Das scored 41, and Towhid Hridoy made 28 runs.
For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Maaz Sadaqat were the most effective bowlers, taking three wickets each, while captain Shaheen Afridi took two. Maaz Sadaqat was named Player of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance.
Bangladesh had won the first ODI by 8 wickets. The series decider will be played on March 15 at the same venue.
