LAHORE: In a move set to excite cricket enthusiasts across the country, officials have announced that online ticket sales for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will formally begin tomorrow at 12 noon. For fans preferring physical tickets, the facility will be available at designated courier service branches starting from March 24.

In an effort to ensure stadiums remain accessible to the general public, the Pakistan Cricket Board has introduced a highly competitive pricing structure. General stand tickets in Lahore and Karachi will start at just Rs 250. In Faisalabad, the minimum price for a general ticket is set at Rs 300, while fans in Multan and Rawalpindi can access the general stands for at least Rs 400.

To maintain transparency and discourage the black-marketing of tickets, a strict policy has been implemented, allowing a maximum of only eight tickets to be purchased per National Identity Card (NIC). Additionally, a limited number of e-tickets have been made available for fans in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, allowing them to enter the stadium without the need to stand in long queues for physical collection.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer stated that the commencement of ticket sales marks a “new era” for the league. He emphasised that prices were deliberately kept low to ensure the “common man and young fans” could watch their favourite players in action. Naseer added that the league’s growing popularity is directly linked to the presence of fans in the stands, which is why the ticketing process has been made both more affordable and more accessible this season.
