Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the second semi-final of the U-19 Asia Cup, securing their place in the final.
The match, played in Dubai, saw Pakistan successfully chase down a target of 122 runs in the 17th over, losing only two wickets in the process. Sameer Minhas was the standout performer for Pakistan, scoring an impressive 69 not out. Usman Khan contributed 27 runs, while Hamza Zahoor was dismissed for a duck. Ahmed Hussain finished the innings with 11 runs not out.
For Bangladesh, Iqbal Hussain Iman and Sami Al-Nabseer each took one wicket.
Earlier in the match, Bangladesh, invited to bat first by Pakistan, were bowled out for 121 runs in the 27th over. Sami Al-Nabseer was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 33 runs. Captain Azizul Hakim added 20 runs, Rifat Baig scored 14, and Sheikh Parvez Jaboon contributed 9 runs. Other notable contributions were from Jawad Abrar (9 runs), Kalam Siddiqui (8 runs), Farid Hassan (7 runs), Muhammad Abdullah (5 runs), MD Sobaj (2 runs), and Saad Islam, who did not score. Iqbal Hussain Iman remained not out with 1 run.
For Pakistan, Abdul Subhan was the star bowler, taking 4 wickets, while Huzaifa Ahsan claimed 2 wickets. Ali Raza, Muhammad Sayyam, and Ahmed Hussain each took 1 wicket.
