LAHORE: Pakistan on Sunday won the toss and elected to bat against Australia in the final match of their T20I series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The Green Shirts have already secured the series, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead after a dominant 90-run victory over the visitors in the second match on Saturday.
“Pakistan opt to bat first in the final T20I against Australia at Gaddafi Stadium, leading the series 2-0,” the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) posted on X.
Captain Salman Agha registered his highest score in T20 internationals, while Pakistan’s spinners dismantled Australia to seal a comprehensive 90-run win, highlighting Pakistan’s increasing dominance over the visitors in the shortest format.
Earlier, in the series opener on Thursday, Pakistan recorded its first T20I win against Australia in over seven years. Saim Ayub starred with an impressive all-round display, scoring a quick 40 and claiming two wickets.
