ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed its willingness to host potential peace talks between Iran and the United States. According to Foreign Office spokesman Tahir Hussain Andrabi, Pakistan is ready to facilitate the meeting if both parties agree.
US media reports indicate that a significant meeting may take place in Islamabad involving top officials from Iran and the US, including Iranian Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, US Representative Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner. US Vice President JD Vance may also participate in this crucial meeting.
Sources reveal that Pakistan is collaborating with other countries, such as Egypt and Turkey, to facilitate communication between Iran and the US. Pakistani officials and mediators, including Ali Akbar Araqchi, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, are in contact to arrange direct telephone communication between the Iranian Speaker and US officials.
Experts suggest that Pakistan’s offer underscores its important role in the region and enhances Islamabad’s capacity for mediation in international relations.
