ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information Technology (IT) exports have achieved a new milestone, with December 2025 shipments reaching USD 437 million, surpassing the $400 million mark for the first time. This reflects a 23% month-on-month growth compared to USD 356 million in November 2025, and a 26% year-on-year increase from USD 348 million in December 2024.
According to industry analysts, the strong performance underscores the continued expansion of Pakistan’s ICT sector, which has become a key driver of the country’s services exports. For the first half of FY26, ICT exports have already reached USD 2.24 billion, marking a 20% year-on-year rise.
The sector remains the largest and most consistent contributor within Pakistan’s services exports, generating the largest trade surplus and highlighting the growing role of technology in the national economy.
Officials noted that continued investment in digital infrastructure, software development, and tech startups is expected to further boost the country’s IT exports in the coming months.
