ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, held a telephonic conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The leaders discussed the escalating tensions in the Middle East and reiterated the need for joint efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dar expressed deep concern over the rising tensions, particularly in the Middle East and highlighted the crucial role of diplomacy in reducing conflicts. He stated, “Diplomacy remains the only effective path to de-escalate tensions,” underscoring Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to fostering regional stability. Dar also called for an immediate cessation of all attacks and aggression, emphasizing that negotiations and dialogue are essential for resolving the ongoing issues.
Both leaders agreed that sustained diplomatic engagement and cooperation between the two nations were necessary to address the challenges facing the region. They also reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote lasting peace through mutual consultations and collective action.
Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s full support for peace and stability in the region, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to tackle security concerns and prevent further escalation. The discussion marked a positive step towards strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran.
