D.I KHAN: Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the installed latest navigation system DVOR (Doppler Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range) and its flight inspection process have been completed at Dera Ismail Khan Airport.

The old system has been removed at the airport, and the latest DVOR system has been installed, which is capable of providing more accurate direction and guidance to pilots during the flight. A special aircraft of the Pakistan Airports Authority has conducted a complete flight inspection of this new system, after which it has been activated.

According to the PAA, thanks to this new system, air travel will become safer than before, and the movement of flights will be easier even in bad weather or low visibility.  The modern navigation system will not only improve the quality of flight operations but will also help in saving fuel and ensuring punctuality. This initiative is part of Pakistan’s policy to modernize regional airports.

It is important to mention that a modern navigation system for air travel is a need of the hour, and it is important to upgrade the entire system from time to time to facilitate the passengers as well as avoid weather-related issues.
