RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces conducted a series of precise airstrikes against high-value terrorist installations and militant infrastructure inside Afghanistan during the wee hours of Friday, as “Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq” continues to intensify.
The intelligence-based operations targeted strategic locations in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar, successfully neutralising logistical bases, ammunition depots, and training camps.
According to an update of the operation, issued on Friday at noon, the campaign against “Fitna al-Khawarij” and its supportive elements has resulted in 663 fatalities and over 887 injuries.
The security forces have reportedly destroyed 249 militant posts and captured another 44, while neutralising a significant cache of heavy equipment, including 224 tanks, armoured vehicles, and artillery guns. To date, 70 terrorist locations and support infrastructure sites across Afghanistan have been effectively engaged by aerial assets.
Military authorities released video footage of the strikes to verify that the operations were focused strictly on installations directly or indirectly supporting cross-border terrorism.
The footage aims to refute claims by Afghan regime officials regarding civilian casualties, with officials asserting that no civilian populations or infrastructure were targeted. The state has reiterated its resolve to continue the operation until the threat of cross-border militancy is dismantled and the border is fully secured.
