Pakistan welcomes the call by Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council to hold comprehensive talks in Riyadh and once again urges all Yemeni stakeholders to engage in good faith toward a negotiated political solution based on agreed parameters.

According to the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan reaffirms its steadfast support for the unity and territorial integrity of Yemen.

Guided by the principles of unity and brotherhood, Pakistan hopes that regional efforts will contribute to bringing lasting peace and stability to Yemen.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephonic conversation from Beijing with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the UAE, H.H. Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Both DPMs exchanged views on the current regional situation and expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory and improvement in the region.

DPM/FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar appreciated that dialogue and diplomacy have resulted in tangible outcomes on the ground.

Regarding the questions of the media spokesperson of MOFA mentioned earlier that Pakistan reaffirms its support for the resolution of the situation in Yemen through dialogue and diplomacy. Pakistan reiterates its commitment to the unity and territorial integrity of Yemen and hopes that the positive steps undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates contribute towards the peaceful resolution of the issue.

Pakistan highly appreciates the wisdom and far-sightedness shown by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in addressing the situation in Yemen. Such efforts reflect a common desire for regional peace and stability by the two brotherly countries.

Pakistan remains ready to play its positive role in strengthening the values of partnership, brotherhood, and unity for lasting peace and stability in the region.
