Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the first T20I match played in Dambulla here on Wednesday.
Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 128 runs in 19.2 overs; Pakistan achieved the target in the 17th overs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan scored 51 runs while batting brilliantly for Pakistan, while Saim Ayub scored 24, and Salman Agha scored 16 runs.
Janath Liyanage played an innings of 40 runs for Sri Lanka and was the top scorer. Sri Lanka’s openers and middle-order batsmen failed miserably. No player could play with composure.
Abrar Ahmed and Salman Mirza took 3, 3, while Shadab Khan sent two players to the pavilion for Pakistan.

The second batch of the Pakistani T20 National team has touched down at the airport in Colombo for their T20 series consisting of three matches against the Sri Lankan team. The team includes the captain Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Usman Khan, Saeem Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Abdul Samad and Khwaja Nafi.
