NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, stressed Pakistan’s reliance on giving talks and diplomacy priority when handling conflicts.
Ambassador Iftikhar, in his spoken words, acknowledged with grave concern how much the fight between Vladimir’s regime and Ukraine has affected the whole region, thus underlining that negotiations are the main way out. He also pointed out that the confrontation has put countless people in dire straits situations thus calling for the utmost protection of non-combatants and other necessary equipment in line with international law.
Ambassador Iftikhar was unmistakably sure that the armed struggle with the Russian side will not yield any solution. He called on Russia and Ukraine to work together for talks and implement peace-building measures. Pakistan renews its commitment to the peaceful resolution of the conflict only through open talks of diplomatic representatives.
Reports sourced from several U.S. media outlets allege that the Trump administration was behind a plan to end the war between Russia and Ukraine that was being executed quietly. It seems that the plan involves direct communication with Russian officials and the presence of Steve Vitkov, the U.S. Special Envoy, who is overseeing the plan, is mentioned in several reports.
The articles talk about the peace plan as one that has the silent approval of President Trump and that the 28 important points cover a wide array of things. First of all, it talks about peace and security in Ukraine next it deals with the security of Europe and finally, it comprises mutual relations between the US and Russia and the US and Ukraine in the future.
The strife that is proceeding has led to worldwide demands for a peaceful resolution through negotiations. Pakistan is one of those countries that urge Russia and Ukraine to come to terms rather than to continue the fight. The crisis, which has been going on for over a year, has caused terrible consequences and this is why world leaders are demanding a breakthrough in the negotiation process as soon as possible.
