Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that the Pakistan’s army victory in Mark-e-Haq has boosted public confidence and made it clear that even an inch of the beloved homeland will not be surrendered to anyone.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the armed forces of Pakistan defeated the enemy in both conventional and unconventional fields, shot down Rafale aircraft, targeted enemy bases and defence systems like S-400, and demonstrated their capabilities in multi-domain warfare. He said that Pakistan stands like a steel wall, and the forces, full of the nation’s trust, are ready to face any threat.

Ambiguous stance on international affairs

In his speech, the Army Chief clearly criticized India, saying that India had adopted the path of blame-shifting and avoided impartial investigations. He warned that if any aggression was attempted again, Pakistan would respond much more severely than the enemy expected, which would challenge India’s concept of geographical expansion. He advised India to refrain from war in a nuclear environment and said that the full responsibility for the upcoming tension would lie with India.

International relations and ties with the Muslim Ummah

The Field Marshal said that Pakistan has played the role of a regional stabilizer in the region. He termed the recent defence agreement with Saudi Arabia as a practical expression of brotherly relations and expressed pride in the strategic partnership with China. He also highlighted the peace talks with Iran and the improvement of relations with the United States. He termed Pakistan’s major participation in the United Nations peacekeeping mission as a proud honour on the global stage.

A blunt stance on Palestine and Kashmir

The Field Marshal strongly condemned Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated his continued political, diplomatic and moral support for the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people. He also condemned the Israeli aggression on Palestine and mentioned Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace in Gaza.

A stance against terrorism and a message to the Afghan regime

The Army Chief expressed concern over terrorism originating from Afghan soil and said that the Taliban regime should rein in the proxies present on its soil. He made it clear that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, along with the law enforcement agencies, will defeat this sedition as well. He said that the enemy’s proxies, Fitna-ul-Hind and Fitna-ul-Khawarij will be eliminated, and we will never bow down to terrorists who misinterpret Islam.
