KABUL: An Afghan journal has confirmed that the Pakistani military targeted only Afghan Taliban military installations during recent strikes.

A report from Afghanistan International states that Pakistan conducted an airstrike against the Taliban camp located in Kabul which is named Fitna Al-Khawarij during the Monday night operation. The Taliban set fire to a rehabilitation hospital for drug addicts which they claimed was destroyed by a bomb after the attack, according to sources.

According to Afghanistan International, the post-attack images showed that the hospital signboard remained intact while the building burned down. The Afghan Taliban’s claim that the attack killed hundreds of people in the hospital remains unsubstantiated.

The report shows that the Taliban denied showing any photographs of the 20 bodies which they claimed to have found. The Taliban media released a video that showed a wounded man who stated that the bombing happened about 200 meters from the clinic.

Tarar: Afghan Taliban deletes misleading posts after false hospital attack claims

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information, Ata Tarar, has accused the Afghan Taliban regime of attempting to create a false narrative regarding an alleged attack on a hospital. Tarar claimed that the Taliban regime was forced to delete misleading posts after fabricating the story.

Speaking on Geo News’s program, Ata Tarar stated that the Afghan Taliban regime must decide whether they are with terrorists or with Pakistan. “The roots of terrorism in Pakistan are linked to Afghanistan. Attacks have been carried out on terrorist infrastructure within Afghanistan. Pakistan’s position is clear we must eliminate terrorist hideouts,” he added.

Tarar further explained that the hospital in question was targeted because it housed ammunition, and the explosions were clear evidence of this. He emphasized that the objectives of Operation Ghazab Lala Haq were well defined, and the attack was part of this mission.

Addressing the false narrative, the minister said that the Afghan Taliban had to delete false posts about the attack. He also reiterated that Pakistan’s policy would become clear to the world when the time comes. “We’ve stated that we stand with Saudi Arabia, and we will continue to do so. We are in contact with all our friendly countries,” he remarked.

Yesterday, Pakistan achieved successful airstrikes which targeted locations in Kabul and Nangarhar to destroy military assets and technical systems. The Afghan Ministry of Interior made false statements about an attack on a drug rehabilitation centre which led to 400 fatalities before these attacks occurred.

The Minister Tarar explained that the airstrikes which occurred on March 16 targeted Kabul and Nangarhar during nighttime were conducted as military operations. He dismissed the Taliban claims about the hospital in Kabul which he said had never been attacked. “The flames in Kabul confirm that an ammunition storage facility was hit,” he said.

He maintained that no medical facility or drug rehabilitation centre or civilian building received military attention. “The current propaganda is coming from a regime whose officials have repeatedly lied. The criminals use drug addicts and innocent children for their evil plans which include suicide bombings.
