ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army has destroyed Kharchar Fort which it labels as an operational center for militants; this was done in a precision retaliatory strike across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The officials said the operation was a response to fresh rounds of unprovoked firing from Afghan territory on several of the frontier posts located in Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baramcha among others. Pakistan’s Armoured Corps utilized tanks and heavy artillery in a synchronized strike operation against a number of enemy check-posts, camps, and strongholds.
The security sources said that the targeted action not only devastated the militant infrastructure but also led to the destruction of a few Afghan border posts and heavy casualties on foreign militants who were operating in the area. Furthermore, they have claimed that the Taliban fighters have fled the positions leaving behind equipment and bodies as they retreated.
Security sources further stated that the strikes were executed to eliminate the threats posed by the militants who were allegedly trying to infiltrate through the border and to discourage any further aggression. The Pakistan Army called it a calibrated and professional response to the situation aimed at makeover the security along the border.

Moreover, the Pakistan Army has destroyed a crucial Afghan terrorist post in the Baramcha sector along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. This operation comes as a strong retaliatory response to unprovoked firing from Afghan forces.
Citing security sources, heavy artillery fire and tank shells from the Armored Corps of the Pakistan Army brought down the enemy positions. The operation precisely hit multiple enemy check posts and hideouts, one of which was the important terrorist post in Baramcha.
Pakistan Army remains to conduct with high operational tempo against Afghan forces in retaliation for their random firing across the border. The plan is to halt and at the same time, secure the border region through this decisive action.
Security officials have a strong belief that this operation will not only further establish control over the border areas but also communicate very clearly to the people who are trying to violate Pakistan’s sovereignty.
